🌿 Daily Devotion 📅 Date: January 17, 2026 📖 Theme: The God Who Carries From the Beginning 🔖 Series: God the Beginning 📜 Scripture: “The eternal God is thy refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms…” — Deuteronomy 33:27 (KJV) --- 💭 Reflection This verse reveals a deep and comforting truth about God: He is not only the One who begins all things, He is the One who carries all things. God is called eternal here — meaning He has no starting point and no ending point. Before your life began, before your journey started, before your struggles showed up, God already existed as a refuge. You did not run into Him by accident; you were born into His covering. A refuge is a place of safety, rest, and protection. This means God is not just where you run to when life gets hard — He is where you were meant to live from the very beginning. Then Scripture says, “underneath are the everlasting arms.” This tells us something powerful: even when you feel like you are falling, you are not falling into emptiness. You are falling into arms that never get tired, never weaken, and never let go. People may fail. Strength may run out. Plans may collapse. But underneath everything in your life — seen and unseen — are God’s everlasting arms holding you up. This is what it means when God is the Beginning. You are not sustained by luck, effort, or timing. You are sustained by God Himself. --- I speak by divine authority: you are not collapsing, you are being upheld, in the name of Jesus. I declare that where your strength has failed, God’s everlasting arms are lifting you, in the name of Jesus. Every fear of falling, failing, or losing control is silenced, because the eternal God is your refuge, in the name of Jesus. You are carried, preserved, and sustained by God from beginning to end, in the name of Jesus. --- 🛠 Practical Application Today, rest consciously in God. Stop carrying burdens you were never meant to carry alone. When fear arises, remind yourself: God is underneath this. Let your decisions come from trust, not panic — you are already supported. A life that begins with God is a life that is carried by God. --- 🙏 Prayer Eternal God, You are my refuge and my strength. I rest my life upon You. Where I feel weak, carry me. Where I feel afraid, cover me. Let me live with the confidence that underneath every step I take are Your everlasting arms.
