It snowed again. I do realize that this is Indiana. I do realize that it is January IN Indiana. I do realize that it is still winter in January in Indiana. HOWEVER … enough already. Haha. (Thank you for joining me on my snow-tantrum.)
Today is a special day. Today is the first time in a long time that I have been able to give a three-day weekend to my city carrier regulars in a very long time. It has been so long that they thought I had made a mistake on the schedule. It feels really good to be able to make such a small thing happen.
Today is a special day because I do not hurt. I am a little stiff, like normal stiff, but I do not hurt. The route inspection I did yesterday was mostly mounted, so there was not a lot of walking. However, the pieces that were walking were strategically placed, I think, to keep you from getting stiff.
Today is a special day because my husband has gotten a good night's sleep for the third or fourth night in a row. A rarity anymore. And he took the dog out. (haha)
Today is a special day because God woke me up with purpose, with compassion, with drive, with energy, and the desire to make this special day … remain a special day.
Is today a special day for you? Is today a thankful day for you? Is today a day that appears to be leaning in the wrong direction, BUT you can make it a special day for someone?
Today’s perception is solely based on the choice of perception. There may be uglies in your way; however, you have the power within to find His light, seek His guidance, and walk in His steps. When you do that, you change an ugly day into a special day.
