DAY 1 — Stone and Silence

Some voices arrive loud.
Confident.
Certain.
They show us something ancient and dare us to panic —
as if faith must collapse the moment history speaks.
But discernment doesn’t flinch.
The stone speaks of a king who won a war
and credited his god,
just like every other king of his time.
Israel lived among those voices.
Surrounded by them.
And still learned to listen for One who didn’t shout.
God is not threatened by artifacts.
Truth is not allergic to history.
Today, resist the urge to react.
Pause instead.
Ask better questions.
Not “Is this scary?”
But “What is this really saying… and what is it not?”
Faith grows quieter before it grows stronger.
Prayer
Lord, slow my reactions.
Train my ears before my opinions.
Teach me to hear You beneath the noise.
