Don’t Worry - Be Happy
When your heart is right with God, all is right with your world. You don’t have to worry because God has everything under control, and there’s no better place to be than in God’s perfect will for your life. But to know God and fully trust in Him requires precious time spent alone in His presence. The more time spent in prayer and study of His Holy Word, the deeper your relationship will grow. Experiencing intimacy with your Lord and Savior creates a longing to be even closer, and soon, instead of procrastinating and making excuses, why you just don’t have time for worship - you will actually become passionate about spending even more time with Him. Once you’ve developed a daily habit of meeting your appointment with God, your love for Him will grow, and so will the amount of faith and trust you have in Him. Even the “way you pray” becomes different. Instead of demanding that God answer your prayers the way you want Him to and “how” you want Him to pray “God’s will be done,” and then really trust God to do what’s best! Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.” That’s pretty good advice! May your motto for living be “Don’t worry. Be happy. Trust in Jesus!” Text: 1 Peter 5:7, Luke 12:22-31, Daniel 10:12
