THE ADVENT TRUTH
When the disciples asked Jesus, “What shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world?” (Matthew 24), He didn’t give one sign—He gave a whole constellation of them. A chain of events that would rise, intensify, and collide like waves before the final storm.

Wars and rumors of wars.
Nations rising against nations.
Kingdoms crumbling from within.
Famines spreading across the globe.
Pestilences appearing in waves.
Earthquakes increasing in more places than ever before.
Religious deception multiplying.
Love growing cold.
Lawlessness overflowing its boundaries.
And the gospel going to the whole world.

These aren’t random headlines—they’re reminders.

The signs Jesus gave in Matthew 24 were not meant to terrify believers—they were meant to wake them. To call us out of spiritual sleep. To remind us that this world is not our home, and that the greatest danger is not the chaos around us… but the complacency within us.

Because when Jesus described the end, He didn’t tell us to hide in fear or panic over every crisis. He pointed us to hope. He said, “See that ye be not troubled.” Why? Because the One who told us the signs is the same One who holds the future.

The signs aren’t the focus—Jesus is.
The shaking isn’t the foundation—Christ is.
The crisis isn’t the end—the gospel is still going forward.

Every earthquake, every war, every moral collapse, every false prophet, every surge of darkness is a reminder that His Word is true… and His return is near.

But here’s the real question Matthew 24 forces us to ask:

When all these things come to pass…
am I surrendered to Jesus?
Is He my refuge?
Is He my anchor?
Is He my hope?

The world may shake, but the Savior never does.
The nations may fall, but His kingdom endures forever.
And the storm that’s coming only pushes us to the only place of safety—the arms of Christ.

So don’t just watch the signs.
Watch Jesus.
Seek Him.
Surrender to Him.
And stand ready.
