The Lord of Hosts, or Jehovah, is the triune God. “Who was,” when in His moves to save man He was present as Jehovah in the fiery bush and was the King of Israel. “Who is,” when He came as Jesus the Saviour, the same “yesterday, today and forever.” “Who is to come,” as we read in 1 Thess. 4:13–18, “them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him,” and the “dead in Christ shall rise first” and the living at His coming. - WILLIAM J.
