Read; Deuteronomy 7:9
God is honest, and His promise is based on love. He won't leave us and will treat us better than we deserve, just like a loving parent treats a rebellious child better than he or she deserves. But our hearts must be set to respect God as God, not just as a good luck charm or a weekly Sabbath Day guest in our otherwise busy lives. What we do must be done with the knowledge that it is for Him and in front of Him.
Prayer
God, thank you for being so faithful and for loving me so much. Thank you for keeping your promises to the Israelites and for sending Jesus exactly as you said you would. I believe that you will keep your word and send Him back to bring me home to You. Please take the things I do and say today as my thanks for Your promise to love me and the people I care about. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
