The Jesuit Oath & the Society of Jesus
(As preserved in historical Protestant records)
The Society of Jesus (Jesuits) was founded in 1540 by Ignatius of Loyola as the militant arm of the Counter-Reformation, with one stated purpose:
to recover territory lost to Protestantism and to uphold the absolute authority of the Papacy.
Jesuits were trained with military discipline, absolute obedience, and intellectual rigor, becoming advisors to kings, educators, theologians, and political influencers. Their vow of obedience to the Pope surpassed all other loyalties—religious, civil, or moral.
This order emerged precisely during the period when Bible prophecy foretold a power that would:
• Persecute the saints (Daniel 7:21)
• Oppose and counterfeit Christ’s authority (2 Thessalonians 2:3–4)
• Employ deception as a primary weapon (Daniel 8:25)
Scripture (KJV)
“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.”
— 2 Corinthians 11:13
Spirit of Prophecy (Summary)
Ellen G. White warned that Rome never relinquishes her claims, though she may change her methods. The principles of control, coercion, and church-state union remain unchanged, resurfacing whenever circumstances permit.
About the “Jesuit Oath” Document
The oath shown in the image above appears in 19th-century Protestant publications and is preserved today in major libraries (including the National Library of Australia).
It reflects how Protestants of that era understood Jesuit principles, especially in light of historical persecutions during the Dark Ages.
This post is not a condemnation of individual Catholics. Many love Christ sincerely. The issue is systems of power and doctrine, not personal salvation.
Prophetic Relevance Today
As Protestantism abandons sola Scriptura, and as America moves toward religious legislation, the very conditions Scripture warned of are forming again—not fulfillment yet, but preparation.
“When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power…”
— The Great Controversy
Our Call
• Cling to the Bible alone
• Uphold God’s commandments
• Proclaim the Three Angels’ Messages with clarity and love
• Warn without hatred, speak truth without fear

FOOTNOTE – Jesuit Oath (Verbatim Excerpt)
(As printed in 19th-century Protestant sources)
“I do further promise and declare that I will, when opportunity presents, make and wage relentless war, secretly or openly, against all heretics, Protestants, and Liberals… to extirpate them from the face of the earth… and that I will spare neither age, sex, or condition… using poison, the strangulating cord, the dagger, or the bullet…”

Final Appeal
This is not a call to fear—but a call to wake up.
Christ is our refuge. His Word is our defense.
Now is the time to stand faithful.
“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”
— Revelation 14:12
