Jan 24, 2026 (internet issues yesterday) Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

Today I must laugh. The irony is simply hilarious. The Start Strong challenge opened up submissions yesterday, I was going to submit my story, when a friend noticed that I missed a required word (vex). I skimmed the story to find where that would work. Fixed. Then I remembered that I need to write the entry blurb. I haven’t done that yet but was going to last night and submit…however … my internet decided it was not going to play nice.

While on lunch yesterday and looking through my email, another weekly competition popped up in my email, on there all the prompts had to do with tea and coffee. I started laughing. One of the coldest days of the year and you want me to write about two favorite beverages. Haha.

This morning, I have some programs that will load on computer, some that will not. So, I am not sure how this is going to work when posting. We shall see. My husband told me the temperature outside is -4 feels like -12. I told him once we hit negative … it is just cold. I am just glad that I am not going on or walking a route today.

Yesterday after lunch, we had a customer letting us know about some mis deliveries. He gave us his address and that carrier ‘rarely’ has a mistake like this. After speaking to him and assuring him that I would take measures to correct the problem, he then advised me that he knew it was not his regular carrier but someone else. Then he described a sub that has not worked here for over ten years. We talked a little more and he let me in his world with his wife who is dealing with Dementia. The conversation must have lasted a good ten minutes, and all was well with the postal world in his eyes, and he had the release that he needed to continue on his journey. He really only needed a sympathetic ear.

Sometimes our tasks for Him are as simple as listening intently to someone who just needs to be heard. Someone who is struggling to find focus. Someone who is juggling misunderstanding and chaos … like Job … but holding on to the faith. Sometimes, all we need to do is be a friend. Even when we do not know them.
Today I encourage you to reflect on those times when that was you … you stood up to listen to you and when you were the one who was supposed to be listening. I know that I have failed in both categories more times than I care to admit. I get it in my head that if I talk about it, it will either seem worse than it is and will have to explain it out even further or I will be looked upon differently. What time of the day is it that you need me to listen and how many ‘fixes’ am I going to throw at you instead of just letting you get it out of your system. This is me. An area that He is fervently working on.

As you reflect on these two areas, ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten you to those areas in your life and then pray for His designation to come upon you and walk with you each time these situations come up. Ask for forgiveness on the times that you know you lacked, then move forward to the more involved you. That is my goal. If I can change my old contemptable ways, anyone can.

Be blessed.
