WHY GOD USES UNGODLY PEOPLE

You may have been wondering why God will continue to use a corrupt man of God with questionable character. The answer is simple: God's work has to be done, and someone has to do it. If God cannot find a holy, godly and upright man or woman to use, he will use those who are not.

This is why God can decide to use a drunk to pass his message to people; God can also use a madman to deliver his message. God can even use a prostitute. God can use just anybody to do his job.

The most important thing is that God's work is done. Whomever God uses to do the work does not matter. What is important is that the work is done. What is important is that captives are set free and people experience the miracles of God.

The damage wreaked by Satan and his kingdom on God's people is too enormous for God to be choosy. He uses just anybody to set his people free and work his miracles. This is why God often continues to use ungodly 'men of God' with questionable character. God is not using them because they are upright before him or they are on good terms with him; he is only using them because his job has to be done.

In Joshua chapter 2, God used a prostitute named Rahab to save his people. Joshua had secretly sent two spies from Shittim to spy on the land of Jericho. But the two spies found themselves in the house of a prostitute named Rahab, and they stayed there.

But the king of Jericho was reliably informed that two spies of Israeli origin had entered their land to spy on it, so the king of Jericho sent a message to Rahab to bring out the men. But Rahab had hidden the two men. She told the king, “Yes, the men came to me, but I did not know where they had come from, and at dusk, when it was time to close the city gate, they left. I don’t know which way they went. Go after them quickly. You may catch up with them.”

So, when the king's men left in pursuit of the spies, Rahab brought down the spies from the roof of her house, where she had kept them. She released them and helped them escape by letting them down through a rope via her window, as the house she lived in was part of the city wall. Because of this kindness, Rahab was the only one spared when the Israelites later invaded Jericho.

The fact that your pastor is a chronic cheat, fornicator, or adulterer doesn't mean his prayers on your behalf will not be answered. The fact that your pastor is a drunkard or a drug abuser doesn't mean his prayers over you will not be honoured. When he prays for you, God will still answer that prayer regardless, because God wants to bless you, and he needs a vessel to use to achieve that.

In conclusion, God has an agenda to bless humanity, but he needs people to execute that blessing, whether holy, unholy, righteous, unrighteous, godly, ungodly, responsible or irresponsible. This is the main reason why God still uses some pastors despite their evil ways and ungodly lifestyles.

But know that such pastors or individuals are only borrowed vessels in God's hands. They are only used to advance the work of God here on earth. They will be used by God and get dumped in the end. They are not candidates of heaven unless they genuinely repent. After working so hard for God here on earth, they will end will be hell fire.

They are the ones God will disown on the day of judgement, as stated in Matthew 7:21-23. They will tell God how they cast out demons in his name and performed many signs and wonders using God's name. But God will disown them, telling them that he does not know them, as they are workers of iniquity.

The fact that God is using an individual doesn't make him or her a candidate of heaven. It is the person's personal relationship with God and the works of his hands that determine that.

Consequently, people should not be agitated, perplexed, confused, or shocked when they see God using people or pastors with questionable character and behaviour. They are only vessels who will be used and dumped on the day of judgement.

Don't be deceived; God cannot be mocked. Whatever a man sows is what he will reap (Galatians 6:7-8). Such people are far away from God, and they are not candidates for heaven unless they repent! Shalom!

"Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ -Matthew 7:21-23 (KJV)
