Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.
Today is starting off entertaining. It actually started yesterday afternoon after a call from my boss explaining what the we are looking forward to today. Like predicting the snowstorm, I believe it when I see it. I can attack any obstacle in my path, but first I need facts to plan and to overcome. Physical evidence of the actual issue helps my brain process the correct steps to take.
Have you ever noticed that we have fallen into that same area when it comes to our faith? Before we can ‘really’ believe, we need evidence that God is real. Before we can believe, we have to have a sign. Before we can believe, we have to understand all aspects. Before we can believe, we need in our face, solid evidence, that ‘our’ way is the best the way. Any of this sound familiar?
When facing a worldly situation, yes … yes, it is optimal to have all the pertinent facts and reasons behind a situation. This way you can make a completely informed decision. Such as, you need gas for your car, but you just filled up two days ago and really have not gone anywhere since the fill up. Fist two questions, is there a leak and/or do I smell fuel and is it possible that someone stole the gas from my car? Both options require a bit of investigations on your part to land an answer.
However … when you walk by faith you do not always the option of doing an investigation to see if the path you are on is the one you are supposed to be on. You may not always know why your car eats fuel or why someone would steal from you. After you do ‘your’ investigation of the potential ‘whys’, then you must trust that the truth will come out at His appointed time. Our time is now … I want to know right now. It is important for me to know this instant. Why can’t I know now? It’s my right !!!
When walking by faith, you are truly walking blind and trusting an entity to not walk you into a wall or off a cliff. You are completely trusting Him to guide you down the best path that will lead to a larger Kingdom. Sometimes that path is full of stones, or holes. Sometimes we get hurt: physically and emotionally. It does not seem fair that we should for something we did not cause, but we are needed in this area to help others. What better way to help someone than to have lived it so that you can relate. Walking by faith is difficult when you apply the world’s desire to know everything, but so much easier when you realize that nothing that you are going through is as rough as what He went through to give us eternal life. I have not hung bloody on a cross … I think I can handle a little discomfort in order to lead others to the Kingdom.

**As John’s disciples were leaving, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: “What did you go to the desert to see? A reed swayed by the wind? If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothing? No, those who wear fine clothes are in kings’ palaces. Then what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. –Matthew 11:7-9
