When the Veil Is Lifted
There will come a hush upon the world,
A stillness deeper than belief,
When crowns of thought and towers of creed
Fall silent in the light of Truth revealed.
Not by force, nor by fear,
But by glory too radiant to deny,
Every borrowed hope will pale
Before the scarred hands of the King.
Philosophies will loosen their grip,
Idols will grow strangely small,
And hearts once certain of other roads
Will tremble at the sound of His name.
Not all knees will bow with joy,
But all will bow with sight,
For faith will give way to knowing
When the Lamb stands as the Lion.
Every tongue—once divided by prayer,
Once scattered by names and paths—
Will confess what heaven always knew:
Jesus Christ is Lord.
And in that moment, history exhales,
The long ache of creation finds its rest,
As truth no longer whispered by the faithful
Is declared by all:
Christ is King.
