DAILY DEVOTION — February 3

Direction Through Dependence

(Proverbs 3:6 NKJV)

God promises direction, but He connects it to acknowledgment. To acknowledge God means more than a brief prayer—it means inviting Him into every part of life. Many believers seek God’s guidance only after decisions are made, but Scripture teaches that direction flows from relationship, not reaction.

When God is acknowledged daily—in planning, priorities, and choices—clarity grows. Direction becomes
clearer not because life becomes easier, but because the heart becomes aligned with God’s will.

Walking with God means seeking His counsel before acting, not after consequences appear. God delights in guiding His people. When we surrender our ways to Him, He faithfully orders our steps.

Reflection Questions:

1. Do I invite God into decisions before or after I act?

2. What area of my life needs fuller acknowledgment of God?

3. How can I practice daily dependence on God’s guidance?

Prayer:

Lord, help me to acknowledge You in all my ways. Forgive me for the times I’ve acted independently of Your guidance. Teach me to seek You first and trust You to direct my path. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Practical Application:

โ— Pause before major decisions today and pray for God’s direction.

โ— Invite God into planning rather than reacting afterward.

โ— Reflect on how acknowledging God changes your choices.

Takeaway Thought:

God faithfully directs the path of those who acknowledge Him daily.
