The Story of the Prodigal Son

(Luke 15:11-32)

Imagine you're the younger son in the story. You've demanded your inheritance and squandered it on reckless living. You're left with nothing, feeling ashamed and unworthy.

But then, you remember your father's kindness and generosity. You decide to return home, hoping for mercy. As you approach your father's house, you see him running towards you, arms open wide, embracing you with love and forgiveness.

This story shows us God's heart towards us. We, like the prodigal son, have rebelled against Him, yet He welcomes us back with open arms. Just as the father forgave his son, we are called to forgive others and reflect God's love.

Reflection Questions

1. How does the father's response make you feel about God's love?
2. Can you think of a time when you had to forgive someone or were forgiven?
3. How can you show God's love and forgiveness to someone today?

Prayer
Thank God for His unconditional love and forgiveness. Ask Him to help you extend that love and forgiveness to others.
