Back in October 2021, I was blessed to work at Orchard Golf and Country Club in Dasmariñas. But during that season, I discovered I was already six weeks pregnant. Because I was considered high risk for COVID and couldn’t be vaccinated right away, I had to make one of the hardest decisions, to resign earlier than I had hoped.
Before I left, I had the chance to say goodbye to Sir Roderick Ramirez, or as many fondly call him, “Sir Tetek.” That moment remains unforgettable to me. Instead of just saying a goodbye, he chose to pray for me, for my pregnancy, and for the new family I was about to have. Those words of prayer and faith became more than just comfort at that time, they became a foundation that I now see alive in my marriage and in my daughter’s life.
Sir, I will always remember you. You left an impact far greater than you know.
Through your preaching and wisdom, you didn’t just share knowledge, you shared God’s heart. And that has stayed with me all these years.
