THE ADVENT TRUTH
There are growing reports that Donald Trump wants to “re-dedicate America to God” on May 17th of this last year. On the surface, many Christians hear that and immediately rejoice. Who wouldn’t want a nation to return to God?
But prophecy warns us to look deeper than religious language.
Revelation 13 does not say the United States will become openly atheistic or anti-religious. It says the opposite. It says America will appear Christian, moral, and God-centered — yet will use religious power in a way God never authorized.
The issue is not talking about God.
The issue is who defines worship — and how it is enforced.
According to Revelation 13, the United States forms an image to the beast by uniting church and state, compelling religious observance, and eventually causing the world to worship the papacy. That process doesn’t begin with persecution — it begins with patriotic spirituality.
History proves this pattern. Every time church and state unite, religious liberty erodes. When political leaders begin framing national identity around religious allegiance, conscience soon becomes regulated “for the common good.”
A national rededication may sound harmless — even noble — but prophecy shows it is a stepping stone, not the destination. It conditions the public to accept the idea that national blessing depends on national worship — and eventually, legislated worship.
Revelation 13 says the United States will:
• Speak like a lamb (Christian language)
• Act like a dragon (coercive power)
• Cause the earth to worship the first beast (the papacy)
This isn’t about one man. It’s about a movement. A trajectory. A nation fulfilling its prophetic role.
True repentance cannot be legislated.
True worship cannot be enforced.
And God never needs the arm of the state to defend His throne.
This is why prophecy matters. Not to create fear — but discernment.
