Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.
Yesterday proved to be an interesting day. Not bad, not over-the-top good, just interesting. Today is starting out to be a curious day. I really cannot put my finger on it. I am more than halfway done with my first cup of coffee, and it is like the day is just here. My head is congested, and I have a slight headache, but that could be literally anything. I don’t feel ‘bad’ per se, but I don’t feel ‘good’ either. I can feel a weight starting in the air, also, about what decisions I need to make in the next hour. Meaning, church or no church. That in its own realm tells me that the enemy got up before me and is trying to convince me that I should stay home.
I was able to get the sixth chapter written yesterday in the new (unnamed) book of the series. It was a lot of fun, and it flew off my fingertips almost faster than I could type. My beta readers may tell you that I am mean, and that is okay. The story that He is giving me … is phenomenal. Now, I might be a little bit biased. Just a smidge. At this point, I am curious to know what the title is going to be. In each of the other books, I had an idea, but this one is completely silent from me. I kind of like the mystery of writing the story first and THEN getting the headline.
While making my second cup of coffee, a couple of thoughts passed through this abyss I call a brain. One, I have surpassed my angst about vitamins, and for about two weeks now have been taking one designed for women over 50. I have never been a pill person of any kind. I have to be in serious pain in order to take a pain pill, it is just in my makeup. However, I must confess that since taking this vitamin every night before bed, I feel better. At my last doctor appointment, she prescribed another high-powered vitamin to take for three months, then she will have me take a maintenance thing. It is weird. But whatever these things do, they are doing a good job. The second thing is my choice is music. Not just regular listening to music, such as Christian praise/worship, but … when I write, I find that instrumental music is quite soothing and helps me focus. Currently, I am very much into violin music. I started in harp. Then Cello. Now I have moved on to the violin. Looking back, I would never have guessed that I would become this person. However, there are many things that I would not have seen myself doing or being. Who would have thought?
I realize that I have been all over the place this morning. I do apologize. However, if there is one thing that you can take from today’s post, it would be this. Regardless of where you are … whether on the mountain top or in the valley, God is with you.
Throughout the chaos of my mind this morning, I have been at peace because He is my only source of presence. He dictates my who, my what, my when, and my where. Even if I make the choice to do MY thing, He is there. (Personally, I think when I do my thing, he grabs a bag of popcorn for the show. Just saying.) The knowing that His presence is always surrounding me, calms my body to keep me from having a train wreck inside. If you take one thing from all this batty commentary, take that. God is the source of peace. God is the source of love. The enemy loves chaos and noise. Choose the peace and serenity of the Father.
Be blessed.
