Psalm 62:5 reminds us that true rest is found not in circumstances, people, or outcomes, but in God alone. The psalmist speaks to his own soul, calling it to be still and to settle its trust in the Lord.

This rest is not the absence of trouble, but the presence of confidence in God. When our hope is anchored in Him, we are no longer driven by fear, uncertainty, or the need to control what comes next.

Placing our hope in God quiets the soul. It shifts our focus from what we lack to who He is, faithful, steady, and unchanging. In Him, our hearts find peace, and our strength is renewed as we wait on Him.
