WHY WE PRAY FOR NORTH KOREA
“Ask of Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth Your possession.” — Psalm 2:8
God’s heart has always been for the nations.
From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture reveals a story that moves beyond borders, cultures, and governments—a story of redemption reaching every people and every land.
So why North Korea?
Not because it is the only nation that needs prayer.
Not because it is politically significant.
Not because it is difficult or mysterious.
We pray for North Korea because God has not forgotten the places the world calls closed.
Behind headlines and secrecy are ordinary people—men, women, and families made in God’s image. Among them are believers whose faith survives quietly, often unseen, yet deeply known by heaven.
North Korea represents more than a nation.
It represents places where the Gospel moves silently.
Where faith grows without recognition.
Where hope persists even when freedom is limited.
Prayer is not activism.
It is obedience.
NKFJ exists not to analyze geopolitics, but to respond to God’s invitation to stand in intercession for a people and a land.
We do not claim exclusivity over God’s heart. He loves every nation.
But sometimes He places a specific burden on specific hearts.
This is ours.
And so we pray—not out of curiosity, but out of compassion.
Not out of urgency, but out of surrender.
Not to force change, but to align with heaven’s purposes.
Because no nation is beyond the reach of Jesus Christ.
