Who Am I in YHWH Messiah – Our Identity in YHWH Messiah

In the midst of many voices in our head that wage war against our identity we forget who we are in YHWH Messiah. I need to remind myself daily that my identity does not lie in my mistakes, my struggles, my embarrassing moments, those discouraging negative voices in my head, etc.

Satan is constantly fighting believers to cause us to lose sight of our true identity. YHWH is constantly pouring out His grace and reminding us of we are. He is constantly reminding me to not dwell on my failures, receive His grace, and press on.

When those voices tell you that you are misunderstood by everyone, YHWH reminds you that He understands you. When we feel unloved, we are reminded that YHWH loves us deeply and unconditionally. When we are engulfed in shame, YHWH reminds us that YHWH Messiah took upon our shame on the cross. You are not defined by who the world says that you are. You are defined by who YHWH Messiah says that you are. In Him is where your true identity lies.

Why do I need to know?
You need to know who you are in YHWH Messiah so that you can live your life as YHWH intended.

The more you agree with YHWH about your identity in YHWH Messiah, the more your behavior will begin to reflect your YHWH GIVEN identity.

I encourage you to learn to see yourself as YHWH sees you.

YHWH's opinion is the one that counts. Accept what YHWH says about you, agree with Him that it is true of you and become the spiritual person you are.

Understanding who you are in YHWH Messiah will give you a strong foundation to build your life on. Knowing who you are in YHWH Messiah is the key to a successful believer’s life and a life lived ON purpose.

Your identity doesn't depend on something you do or have done. Your true identity is who YHWH says you are.

Once you choose to follow YHWH Messiah you become a new creation, the old you passes away and you become who you are in Him. Please stop living out of who other people say you are and take hold of the truth of YHWH's word. Find out what YHWH says about you and agree with Him.

You need to know WHO you are in YHWH Messiah so that you know WHAT to do, WHEN to do it, WHERE to go, and HOW to do it!

Because you are in YHWH Messiah, EVERY ONE of these statements is true of you.
