Chapter 46 Evenings and Mornings
In the previous chapter we saw that at the end of time there will be a suppression of the worship of the One True God. What will it amount to? It means we will not be able to visibly worship the One True God and His Son. When the worship of all gods but king Darius was outlawed for a month, Daniel, according to his practice, kept worshipping God visibly. He opened his curtains so that all could see him worshipping God. We know what followed, and how God saved him from the lions.
When it is decreed that we should not worship God, what will you do? Satan is out to prevent us from worshipping God. It then struck me that while there is no such persecution currently, are we bringing the evening and morning sacrifices to our families? Do we have family worship? I visited my children recently and noticed that they keep Sabbath, but do not begin and end the Sabbath with the formal worship of God. The reason for this is that I had not given them the example when they were children. I grew up in a home where family worship was regular like clockwork, I went to schools where there was morning and evening worship. I had family worship up until my first child was a year old, and then my then wife said it is too boring for the child. I being soft, abandoned family worship and the rest of my children did not grow up in that culture. Satan succeeded in removing the evening and morning sacrifices in my house because I was weak.
In South Africa, the Afrikaans culture had the worship of God so strong that there was worship for families on the radio. There were many reasons for the destruction of the Apartheid Regime besides legalised racism. I believe the fundamental Christianity of my culture was targeted. Satan did not like the Christian Afrikaans culture, and he targeted it with the excuse of dismantling Apartheid. As an aside, the very forces on Earth that spear-headed the dismantling of Apartheid are themselves some of the World’s biggest racists. We see this today in the Israel-Palestine/Arab conflict. The pope refused to visit South Africa while the Afrikaans Protestants still ruled the country.
Satan has also had the worship of the One True God replaced by the worship of a derivative of the Babylonian gods – the Trinity. Adventism began with a pure Gospel in the mid-19th century, worshipping the One True God, but evil forces infiltrated the church in the 20th century and changed our God back to the god of the apostate Christian church – the Trinity.
When worship is coerced in the final chapters of the history of Earth, there won’t be much to change, because Satan has engineered the demise of the worship of the One True God. Most people will comfortably just keep on living and worshipping as they have.
The time has come for us to rebuild the altars in our homes where we worship God and His Only Begotten Son every morning and evening. This will make us a target of Satan but also be an identifying trait of God’s true children who will be waiting for Him at the Second Advent. We will suffer persecution from church and state, but God will be with us all the way. Worship God that made heaven and Earth and the oceans. Live the first Angel’s Message.
