THE PRAYER OF AN OPTIMIST.
Lord, give me the grace.
To be strong and sound within,
That nothing can disturb my inner peace,
To speak only positive things.
To every person I meet today,
To make all my friends feel proud of me,
To cleanse the doors of my perception,
To look at the bright side of everything,
To think t he most sublime thoughts,
To speak true and gracious words,
To do the most lovely deeds,
To be as concerned about,
The fulfillment of others.
As I am of my own,
To unload the burdens of the past,
And give a sweet smile to everyone I meet,
To spend most of my time in creative pursuits,
That I have no time for fault-finding.
To be too grateful to worry,
to be too noble to envy,
To be too brave to fear,
To be an eternal optimist.
