Good afternoon to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

My apologies for not posting this morning. Last night and this morning became one with the universe. The prep for his procedure today lasted until 130 am, then I could not sleep for fear of missing my alarm. Finally, I fell asleep to only have him wake me up at a little after 4, before my alarm, to make sure we were both up. We had to be at the hospital by 630. Traffic was super light haha. I did take my computer; however, that would have required my brain to be functioning. Hospital computers and printers were having a lovers’ quarrel, so everything had to be handwritten. All I could do was laugh.

Fast forward. The procedure went well. Doc stated he saw nothing of concern to him and explained a couple of concerns that we told him about. Now we wait for the results. On our way home at 930, we had beef and cheddars for breakfast. Got home, let the dog out, and crashed. I have been up for about thirty minutes and feel like I could go right back to bed.

There is one thing about today that is different than yesterday. The weight of the unknown is gone. The weight of before it happens has disappeared. The weight of anxiousness … vanished.

I am exhausted. In so many ways and dimensions. Physically, though I have not done anything ‘physical’ except not sleep. Emotionally, because of the outpouring of love that I have for my husband and desire to see him not hurt. Spiritually, in that, when I am in a battle with the dark, I always take on more than is my share. Even knowing that I do not have to … I do. It is the stubbornness inside of me.

I know all this is a choice. I know that I always make the most difficult one. I know that there is little chance of my changing. What I also know is that my God is always with me, holding me up, supporting me, giggling in my ear about how stubborn He made me. With that knowledge, it makes this exhaustion more bearable.

I hope that your day has been a positive and productive one. I thank you for all your prayers and coverings. They were felt and appreciated.

Be blessed.
