Day 5
When No One Is Watching
Colossians 3:23тАУ24
ThereтАЩs a kind of strength that only shows up in private.
No spotlight.
No affirmation.
No one standing at the edge of the field taking notes.
Just you.
The assignment.
And God.
The ox does not change its pace depending on who is watching. It doesnтАЩt work harder when the farmer is nearby and slack off when he leaves. It simply pulls.
Same direction.
Same pressure.
Same quiet obedience.
ThatтАЩs where integrity is formed.
Most people imagine tests of faith happening in dramatic moments тАФ crisis, confrontation, breakthrough. But often the real test is much quieter.
ItтАЩs the ordinary day.
The repeated responsibility.
The unseen sacrifice.
ItтАЩs choosing excellence when no one would notice if you didnтАЩt.
ItтАЩs refusing to cut corners when you easily could.
ItтАЩs staying faithful when recognition never comes.
ThatтАЩs not weakness.
ThatтАЩs maturity.
Scripture reminds us that we are not working for human approval. We are working for the Lord. And He sees differently. He measures differently.
Heaven does not overlook steady obedience.
The crown of endurance is shaped in hidden rows.
And one day, what was done in secret will not feel small at all.
Keep pulling.
Not for applause.
Not for validation.
But because the field was entrusted to you.
And that is enough.
Tomorrow we can move toward strength and provision тАФ how the ox is sustained while serving, and how God fuels those who refuse to quit.
