Topic: A Life of Sacrifice
Text: Leviticus1-4
Whenever the word sacrifice is mentioned by my own definition is to give up something in place of another
A Life is the requirement for sacrifice, however Where there is no sin there won't be need for sacrifice - Adebayo Malaika
Biblically we see sacrifice been done for atonement of sins. In the Old Testament, Animals and Birds were sacrifices for man's sins- depending on the nature of offering (sin, peace, burnt, grain or guit) to be presented While in the New Testament,Jesus Christ (the lamb of God) was sacrificed for the sin of mankind.
Everything both in the Old & New Testament requires a Life - This shows that wherever sin abides there is need for a sacrifice for redemption.
For every sin of man ,God requires it but the animal/birds is not enough to take it away hence the coming of his son - the only means acceptable before God.
No one is immune to sin - priest fell short, the congregations fell short, how much more you and I?
As a man we have been instructed to present our body as a living sacrifice unto the Lord. It all starts with doing away with every works of the flesh that can keep you in sin and lose the privilege of standing/entering His Presence
A Life that is Holy and Clean will stand the chance of having a true fellowship with God.
What do you need to sacrifice today, so that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross will be worth it for the salvation of your soul?
You still have that chance today to lay it all down at the masters feet and enjoy a new life in Christ Jesus - eternal life. He has paid it all for your sake!
Come to Jesus, He loves you and want to make you whole again!!
