Understand and trust God’s timing, even when His answers seem delayed, for His divine delay is a blessing in disguise.Good morning, church family. I hope this day has found you blessed and well. Today, we will learn a powerful message about God’s timing, waiting for His answers, and the blessings that come from His delayed answers.

As Ravi Zacharias once said, “Time is God’s brush, as He paints His masterpieces on the hearts of men.”

Let’s read together from the book of John, chapter 11, verses 1-25:

God’s Timing is Perfect
In our human understanding, we often see time as linear, with a clear beginning, middle, and end. We expect things to happen in a certain order and within a certain time frame. However, God’s timing is beyond our human understanding. He works outside of our earthly time, and His timing is always perfect, even if it doesn’t match our expectations.

The Story of Lazarus: We see that Jesus deliberately delayed His arrival. He received the news of Lazarus’ illness but chose to remain where He was for two more days. To humans, this delay may seem like carelessness or indifference. But in reality, it was a divine delay planned by God for a greater purpose. Jesus knew that Lazarus’ illness would not end in death but would be for the glory of God. His delay was not a denial but God’s plan for a miracle that would reveal His power and glory. In our lives: We often experience situations similar to those of Mary and Martha. We pray and ask God to help us, but it seems as if He is slow to answer. We may feel as if He is not listening or does not care about our problems. But as in the story of Lazarus, God’s delay is not denial. He hears our prayers, and He cares about our problems. His delay is God’s plan for great blessings to come. His perfect plan for our lives: He knows the end from the beginning, and He has a perfect plan for each of us. His timing is not just about answering our prayers but also about aligning our lives with His perfect plan. When we align our lives with His plan and trust in His timing, we experience His blessings in ways we cannot imagine. His perfect love for us: He loves us so much that He is willing to delay His answers to our prayers in order to give us something better. His love for us is so great that He is willing to let us go through temporary pain for eternal gain. He is more interested in our eternal life than our temporary comfort. His delays are not a sign of His indifference but a sign of His great love for us. His perfect wisdom: He knows what is best for us, and He knows when it is best for us. He sees the big picture that we often fail to see. His wisdom is greater than our understanding, and His timing is far better than ours. When we trust in His wisdom and timing, we find peace and rest in the midst of our problems. Waiting for God’s answer is a practice that requires faith, patience, and a deep understanding of the nature of Almighty God.
