Getting acquainted with God, His word, and in some cases the culture he came from, is necessary for believers in the world that we live in today, including some churches.
I recall being told that the King James Version of the Bible was the version that Jesus and James the discipls read. As I grew older, I found out that many others were told the same misinformation about the origin of this version.
While it is still my preferred version, it causes one to wonder what unbiblical things are they holding from their past.
What are things you were told at some point in your faith that you found out were unbiblical?
This is not to speak in anger against any person or ministry, but to gather and admonish each other in what/who the Word of God actually says/is.
