Hope in the Lord
Christians and non-Christians think quite differently when it comes to the word “hope.” Non-Christians usually think of hope as hoping for something they want and regard it more like a “maybe,” or it “might” happen. They even think of it as something they wish for, such as “I hope I don’t get the flu this year, or “I hope it doesn’t rain tomorrow.” But Christians know that real hope is in the Lord! If you find yourself saying, “I hope so,” start praying for God to give you more faith and trust in Him. Remember, when you pray “God’s will be done,” you can count on God to do what is best for you, rather than hope He will. Sometimes what you “think” you want isn’t what you really want at all. When you “hope in the Lord,” you know with absolute certainty that God keeps His Word. You can believe it when Jesus says He loves you and wants you to spend eternity with Him. The Bible says in Psalm 147:11, “The LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in His unfailing love.” One of the best things about having Jesus as your Best Friend is that you never have to “hope so”... because you know your hope is in the Lord!
