INTRODUCTION

Giving is not a loss; it is a spiritual key. Many believers pray for financial breakthrough and miracles but ignore the divine principle of giving. In Scripture, God often responds to need through what is first released from our hands. Giving is not all about the amount you give; it is about your mindset. You cannot give beyond your mindset and you cannot prosper beyond your mindset. Our mindsets toward giving must change before we experience financial breakthrough.

MEANING OF GIVING

Giving is the act of willingly releasing what God has placed in your hands to honor Him, bless others, and advance His kingdom—trusting God for increase and divine intervention.

Giving is:

Act of answering God's call: giving is primary assignment for all believer: God is a giver and all believers must be givers. "Help" is one of the spiritual gift not 'Giving". Everybody is called to give(Matt.25:35-46).

A demonstration of obedience: it is a service to God It is giving back what is God's in obedience and willing without grudge. (1Chron.29:1-14

An investment, not an expense, not ponzi scheme or quick way of making money. In an investment, you don't need quick returns but you expect it. There are some that will come quick, there are some that will come later, and there some that your children will come and reap. "in due season" (Ecc.11:1-2; 2Cor.9:6-9; Mal.3:10-11

SCRIPTURAL BACKGROUND

2 Kings 4: 8-37
The Shunammite woman saw the need of Elisha (the man of God). She discussed with her husband about it and they agreed and invited Elisha to be checking in for meal, later she saw the need to accommodate the man of God which they built and furnished a room for him. That moved Elisha to look for the need of the woman. These generousity attracted her first miracle. She would have a son which she lose hope of having. That prophet raise her son to life and also prophesied to her about seven (7) years famine. Finally through the Prophet's servant, her properties, and all the money made from her lands for seven years was restored ( 2Kings 8:16).

Let's ponder on this;
If the Shunammite woman did not give Elisha food later gave him home to stay, what would had been of her?

Your generosity can bring you miracle that your faith can not. She didn't believe yet she conceived and put to birth just as the man of God prophesied. Giving Attracts Divine Intervention When human help fails, giving provokes heaven’s response.

CONCLUSION

Your miracle is connected to your giving. God is not moved by need alone—He responds to faith expressed through giving. When you release what is in your hand, God releases what is in heaven.

CLOSING CHARGE

Don’t wait until you have plenty before you give.
Give your way out of lack, and God will give you a testimony.
