Romans 15:14-21 Key Words in Bold CR NIV
1 Corinthians 1:26-31 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things-- and the things that are not-- to nullify the things that are,
so that no one may boast before him.
It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.
Therefore, as it is written; "Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord."
Acts 15:12 The whole assembly became silent as they listened to Barnabas and Paul telling about the signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them.
Acts 21:18-21 The next day Paul and the rest of us went to see James, and all the elders were present.
Paul greeted them and reported in detail what God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.
When they heard this, they praised God. Then they said to Paul; "You see, brother, how many thousands of Jews have believed, and all of them are zealous for the law.
They have been informed that you teach all the Jews who live among the Gentiles to turn away from Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or live according to our customs.
Acts 2:18-21 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy,
I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke.
The son will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
The Suffering and Glory of the Servant
Isaiah 52:13-15 See, my servant will act wisely; he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.
Just as there were many who were appalled at him--his appearance was so disfigured beyond of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness--
so he will sprinkle many nations, and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand.
