THE RESTORATION OF TRUE WORSHIPPER

In the Gospel of John, JESUS CHRIST LOOKED STRAIGHT AT A WOMAN EVERYONE ELSE HAD ALREADY LABELED.

Five husbands. Living with a man who wasn’t hers. Public history. Private shame. HE KNEW IT ALL. HE CAME FOR HER.

And HE DIDN’T PUSH HER into the well.
HE DIDN’T DRAG HER PAST through the dirt to feel righteous. HE DIDN’T WEAPONIZE THEOLOGY TO HUMILIATE HER. HE DIDN’T CONFUSE BRUTALITY WITH BOLDNESS.

HE TOLD THE TRUTH, SURGICALLY. Then HE OFFERED LIVING WATER.

THAT’S WHERE MOST OF US FAIL.
Some CHRISTIANS LOVE CALLING OUT SIN MORE THAN WE LOVE RESCUING SINNERS.
WE DON’T WANT REPENTANCE, WE WANT TO FEEL SUPERIOR.

But JESUS DIDN’T SHOW UP TO WIN ARGUMENTS. HE SHOWED UP TO SAVE PEOPLE.
If our “truth” leaves people drowning in shame, it’s not Christlike, it’s ego with a Bible verse attached.

And if our “love” refuses to name what’s killing someone, it’s not compassion, it’s cowardice.

JESUS EXPOSED THE ROT AND THEN OFFERED REDEMPTION. He didn’t push her deeper into the hole. HE PULLED HER INTO WORSHIP. THAT’S THE GOSPEL.
And it’s a lot harder than throwing stones.
