Actor Kelsey Grammer recently opened up about his deep Christian faith and how past tragedies shaped his struggles with cocaine and alcohol addiction.
He revealed that the 1975 abduction, rape, and murder of his 18-year-old sister Karen left him burdened with irrational guilt, admitting, “That was the time when I could not forgive myself for my sister’s death.”
Although he has since forgiven her killer, he firmly opposes his parole, saying the man who took his sister’s life should never regain his freedom.
Grammer also shared that during his darkest seasons he wrestled with anger toward God, even asking, “Where were You?” Yet he said he ultimately found peace in his faith, declaring, “Jesus made a difference in my life. That’s not anything I’ll apologize for.”
After enduring multiple family tragedies and personal battles, Grammer said his marriage to Kayte Walsh has brought renewed joy, healing, and hope to his life.❤
