DAY 6 – Less of Me, More of You
Scripture: Gospel of John 3:30
Monday Morning Prayer – Day 6 of Lent
Heavenly Father, On this Monday morning, as a new week begins, I come before You with a surrendered heart. Thank You for waking me up, clothing me in mercy, and granting me another opportunity to draw closer to You during this sacred Lenten season.
Lord, Your Word declares, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” Today I lay down my pride, my ego, my opinions, and my selfish ambitions at Your feet. Empty me of everything that competes with Your will. Strip away every attitude, thought, and desire that does not reflect Your character.
Father, reduce my pride and increase Your presence in me. Where my flesh wants attention, teach me humility. Where my emotions want control, release Your Spirit. Where my will resists surrender, give me grace to bow low before You.
Let Christ increase in my words.
Let Christ increase in my decisions.
Let Christ increase in my leadership.
Let Christ increase in my home.
Let Christ increase in my responses today.
May my actions reflect Your love. May my heart reflect Your purity. May my life reflect Your glory.
As I step into this week, I declare that I will not be led by my flesh but by Your Spirit. I will choose obedience over impulse, humility over pride, and surrender over self-promotion. Shape me, mold me, and refine me until there is less of me and more of You.
Lord, take the throne of my heart again today. Be greater in me than any temptation, any distraction, any insecurity, and any fear.
I decrease.
You increase.
I surrender.
You reign.
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.
Declaration...
• Christ is greater in me than my flesh.
• His Spirit leads me.
• His presence fills me.
• His glory is revealed through me.
