The mountains “lift up” our souls in three ways: First, the mountains echo the distant songs of a lost paradise. Second, the mountains megaphone the Scriptures so that they speak for themselves and echo without distortion and delusion. Third, the mountains expose those who don’t want to hear God but just want to hear their own echoes.
