There is more to surrendering than the one we did when we first came to Christ. I realized that you can have the Holy Spirit and live as though you don’t have Him at all. The Holy Spirit can be gentle, but there is a lot He wants to do in our lives. He wants to express Himself in different ways. And this is where fully surrendering comes in. That we are not just interested in enjoying the protective and caring part of God, but we also want to bring the desires of His heart to pass. When the Spirit wants to express Himself, we don’t silence Him because we are not in the mood or because it’s not our scheduled time for prayer. When He wants to speak to people through you, you have not hardened your heart. He is not hindered or limited because you are busy. This is surrendering!
