Day 3 – Shammah: A Field Worth Fighting For
Scripture: 2 Samuel 23:11–12
The Philistines advance.
The army runs.
Dust fills the air.
And in the middle of a field of lentils stands one man.
Shammah.
Not a throne. Not treasure.
Beans.
It would have been easier to retreat.
Nobody would have blamed him.
But he planted his feet.
Because obedience is not measured by the size of the field —
but by the faithfulness of the stand.
And Scripture says:
“The Lord brought about a great victory.”
One man.
One field.
One decision.
Heart Check:
Where are you tempted to retreat because it seems small?
