Trends rise and fall, headlines change overnight, and even our bestโlaid plans crumble without warning. Grass wilts. Fame fades. Promises break. Strength fails. Whether we soared or stumbled, being a Christian is not about clinging to what feels stable—it is about standing on what stands forever. And the question is not whether life will change, but about what remains when everything else fades.
Isaiah wrote this to weary exiles—people watching their nation crumble. Kingdoms were trembling. Stability seemed lost. Yet he pointed them beyond ruins to the eternal truth.
Grass withers. Flowers fade. Human strength weakens. Beauty vanishes. Influence expires. The contrast is clear: creation is temporary, but God’s truth is permanent. It does not wither with weather nor fade with fashion. Like a mountain unshaken by storm winds, His Word does not bend with culture nor bow to time. What fades is a hollow cost; what stands is never lost.
Scripture reinforces this certainty: “๐๐ฐ๐ณ ๐ฆ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ, ๐ ๐๐๐๐, ๐ต๐ฉ๐บ ๐ธ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฅ ๐ช๐ด ๐ด๐ฆ๐ต๐ต๐ญ๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐ช๐ฏ ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ข๐ท๐ฆ๐ฏ” (๐๐ฌ๐๐ฅ๐ฆ ๐๐๐:๐๐). Jesus declared, “๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ท๐ฆ๐ฏ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ณ๐ต๐ฉ ๐ด๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ ๐ฑ๐ข๐ด๐ด ๐ข๐ธ๐ข๐บ, ๐ฃ๐ถ๐ต ๐ฎ๐บ ๐ธ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฅ๐ด ๐ด๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ต ๐ฑ๐ข๐ด๐ด ๐ข๐ธ๐ข๐บ” (๐๐๐ญ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ฐ ๐๐:๐๐). Truth is not trending—it’s forever standing. It does not evolve with the ages; it reigns over the ages.
Peter affirms the same certainty: “๐๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ธ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฅ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฅ ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ถ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฉ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ ๐ฆ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ” (๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐:๐๐). From Solomon’s wisdom: “๐๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ๐บ ๐ธ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฅ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐๐ฐ๐ฅ ๐ช๐ด ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ณ๐ฆ” (๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ ๐๐:๐), to David’s song, “๐๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ค๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ด๐ฆ๐ญ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ด๐ต๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฉ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ ๐ฆ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ” (๐๐ฌ๐๐ฅ๐ฆ ๐๐:๐๐), God’s word stands. It does not bow to generations. Then and now, every child of God must “๐๐ถ๐ช๐ญ๐ฅ ๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ค๐ฌ, ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ต ๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ด๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ,” for when truth is our foundation, storms cannot steal our stand.
And this Word is not merely written—it is living. Jesus Christ is the eternal Word in human form (๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐๐ง๐ฌ ๐:๐-๐), who keeps us standing when all else falls. And one day, “๐ฆ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ๐บ ๐ฌ๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ฆ ๐ด๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ญ๐ฅ ๐ฃ๐ฐ๐ธ” before Him (๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐๐ง๐ฌ ๐:๐๐).
So what are you standing on today—sand or stone? You don’t need Christ merely to comfort you when life shifts; you need Him as the unchanging foundation beneath every step. Anchor your life where eternity rests. Stand where truth stands. Build where nothing fades.
๐๐ซ๐๐ฒ๐๐ซ: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unchanging Word. Teach us to stand on truth when everything else shifts. Fix our eyes on Christ, the eternal Word, and keep our hearts anchored in what lasts forever. Strengthen our faith and steady our steps. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Remember, a dose of God’s Word a day will keep you going all day!
