DAY 10 Of Lent – Living a Cross-Shaped Life
Scripture: Epistle to the Galatians 2:20
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me…”

Thought Of the Day...
When the Apostle Paul the Apostle wrote these words, he was not speaking poetically—he was describing a spiritual reality. The cross was not merely an event in his past; it became the pattern of his present life.
To live a cross-shaped life means surrender is no longer occasional—it is daily. It means our ambitions, pride, selfish desires, and need for recognition are nailed to the cross. The old nature no longer governs us. Our reactions, decisions, relationships, and priorities are filtered through one question: Does this reflect Christ living in me?

The cross reshapes everything:
• Our identity – We are no longer defined by failures or achievements, but by Christ in us.
• Our motivation – We serve not for applause, but from gratitude.
• Our endurance – We can suffer faithfully because resurrection life follows crucifixion.
• Our love – We forgive because we were forgiven.
A cross-shaped life is not weak—it is powerful. It carries resurrection strength. When we die to self, Christ’s life flows freely through us. The world sees less of our flesh and more of His Spirit.
Lent calls us deeper into this mystery: dying daily so that we may truly live.

Prayer...
Father, Teach me what it truly means to be crucified with Christ. Strip away every selfish ambition, hidden pride, and fleshly desire that competes with Your will. Nail my impatience, my fears, and my need for control to the cross.
Let the life of Jesus be evident in my words, my responses, and my private thoughts. When I am tempted to react in the flesh, remind me that I have already died with Christ. When I feel weak, remind me that His resurrection power now lives in me.
Shape my heart to love sacrificially. Teach me to serve humbly. Help me to endure faithfully. May my home, my work, and my ministry reflect the beauty of a surrendered life.
Let my life preach the message of the cross without me ever saying a word.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Declaration...
I am crucified with Christ.
The old me no longer rules.
Christ lives in me.
His power sustains me.
His love compels me.
His life is revealed through me.
