Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.
I am not sure what it is that makes the flies or Japanese beetles wake up when I sit down to type of a morning, but they are relentless. To the point that I must cover my coffee to ensure that they do not take a hot bath in my wonderful drink. They seem to alternate days. A couple of days ago, it was a beetle; today, it is a fly. It is quite annoying and weird when they don’t show up.
I had hoped to get some time out in the She Shed yesterday after our appointment; however, an unexpected call from Human Resources, which I missed but they said they would call back, kept me near the house … just in case. But the call never came. The short message they did leave inferred it was about my retirement; however, my HR session for that is not until next week, so I was and am really confused.
Though our appointment yesterday, overall, was on a positive note, the doctor was upset that the most important blood test that needed to be done … was not done. It was not because we did not show up and the vampires did not take several vials of blood; they just did not run the test that everyone was really looking for …. And it was in the system to be run. We did get that taken care of eventually after being turned away by the clinic … we actually ended up back at the hospital … imagine that. So there are two positives from that … one – the doctor noticed right away that we were just at the hospital for blood work two days ago, and that the order was in. … two- once we did this draw, the test results were working their way in the right direction. One negative plus two point five positives equal a good trip to town.
There are a lot of things about yesterday that I could hold on to so that I could remain in a downcast mood. OR. I can see the positives that came out of yesterday and use them as fuel to make sure my day starts off on the right foot. I choose positive.
A lot of our mood is a choice. Sometimes it is a difficult choice because the enemy is right there, reminding us of the ugly … but it is still our choice. Today I choose to be happy. Today I choose to be the Light. What do you choose?
Be blessed.
