Saturday Morning Prayer – Day 11 of Lent - Teach Us to Pray
Scripture: Gospel of Luke 11:1
"Lord, teach us to pray…"
Heavenly Father, On this quiet Saturday morning, I come before You with a humble and hungry heart. Just as the disciples cried out in Luke 11:1, I cry out today: Lord, teach me to pray.
Teach me to pray not with empty words, but with a sincere spirit.
Teach me to pray not out of routine, but out of relationship.
Teach me to pray until my heart aligns with Yours.
Father, deepen my prayer life. Take me beyond surface conversations and draw me into holy intimacy. Let prayer become my first response, not my last resort. Let it be my daily breath, my steady anchor, and my secret place of strength.
When I don’t know what to say, teach me to rest in Your presence.
When my faith feels small, teach me to pray boldly.
When distractions come, teach me discipline.
When answers delay, teach me trust.
Form in me a lifestyle of communion with You. Let prayer shape my thoughts, purify my motives, and strengthen my spirit. As I spend time with You, transform me from the inside out. Make my heart sensitive to Your voice and obedient to Your will.
This Saturday, I surrender my schedule, my plans, and my desires. Align them with heaven’s purpose. Let my home be filled with prayer. Let my leadership be fueled by prayer. Let my family see a life that depends on prayer.
Lord, I don’t just want to pray more — I want to pray deeper.
Declaration...
I grow daily in prayer.
My intimacy with God increases.
My spirit is strengthened.
My faith is bold.
My life reflects a disciplined and devoted prayer life.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
