THE ADVENT TRUTH
Everyone talks about “good doctrine,” but who defines what’s good and what’s bad? The Bible does — not culture, not tradition, not the majority, not the loudest voice in Christianity.
Proverbs 4:2 says, “For I give you good doctrine; DO NOT forsake My LAW.”
Right there — God ties GOOD doctrine directly to His commandments. Good doctrine leads you to obedience. It honors Jesus not only as Savior… but as LORD.
So what is bad doctrine?
Anything that tells you God’s Law no longer matters.
Any teaching that claims the cross erased the Ten Commandments.
Any message that excuses sin rather than calling us out of it.
Any “gospel” that divorces faith from obedience.
Any belief that makes the narrow way wide enough for the world to stroll in comfortably.
Jesus warned: “In vain do they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” (Mark 7:7)
Bad doctrine doesn’t feel dangerous — it feels comforting. Popular. Non-offensive. It tells you you’re saved while keeping you in chains.
Paul said there would come a time when many would reject sound doctrine and seek teachers who scratch itching ears (2 Timothy 4:3-4). That time isn’t coming… it’s here.
Good doctrine leads you to Christ — and Christ leads you to His Word, His Law, His Sabbath, and His holiness.
Bad doctrine leads you to a Jesus who blesses sin, tolerates compromise, and requires nothing.
The true gospel saves us FROM sin — not in sin.
The devil’s gospel leaves us unchanged, unrepentant, and unprepared for Jesus to return.
Which Jesus are you following?
Which doctrine are you living by?
Test everything by Scripture. Hold fast to what is good. Reject what is false. (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
The end-time battle isn’t just about worship.
It’s about TRUTH.
