Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

Today is His day. What a beautiful day it is already. I slept in. My husband woke up in a good mood, ready to play like we did when we were younger. My coffee is hot and energizing. My head is clear. Yesterday’s problem has been resolved.

My retirement has been no secret. I have been very vocal and annoying about it. Part of my charm. However, inside, little bits of me are asking questions about how will this happen, how will that go, will we be able to, etc. This is normal, and I know that; however, that does not eliminate the merry-go-round of intrusive thoughts that attempt to steal my peace. Though I have these thoughts, my direction to retire has not changed. The overall conclusion is that I am not in charge, and I am not in control; He is.

Finances, though scary, are not a concern. Travel possibilities, though available, are not necessary for happiness. Boredom, where a conceivable probability, not likely, thanks to my writing. For every conceivable, yes, every … including being alone … event that may occur, I am at peace. Whatever God has for me, I am His. That is a peace that I wish on all of you. It is not easy to maintain when you are a fixer, a controller, a scatterbrain, or a person who desires to know everything about everything before you open your eyes. But it is possible. I am that person. However, I can say with certainty that it is possible. I rely heavily on two verses…Proverbs 3:5 and Jeremiah 29:11. Trust in the Lord. He has a plan.

Today I wish for all to have a quiet moment in the presence of their Savior and at least start the road to this kind of peace. You will be amazed at how even keel it is and how wonderful it is to possess. I have my moments, please understand that, however, 99 percent of my life … is without the clattering banging of the enemy gaining any ground on me. It is great.

Be blessed.

**Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16:34
