A NUGGET OF TRUTH THE DEAD ARE DEAD, AND THEY KNOW NOTHING. Have you ever wondered is this really true. If I see a dead family member is it really that their family member. Or why is it that people see their family members? Well the Bible has some interesting warnings against people who have died. Actually the Bible is clear and it says you are to have no contact with dead people at all, “Deuteronomy 18:10-13”. This is a big problem because how about if you see your family member the Bible says do not have anything to do with them. This is a big problem in the Catholic Church because they pray to the dead and this is forbidden in the Bible. In the New Testament we get warnings that “Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved" (2 Thessalonians 2:9-10). It’s very clear here that Satan is using all his power to confuse everyone into believing that there is life after death. He’s using all his signs, and his lying wonders with all his power. The Bible goes on to say “And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth, and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty" (Revelation 16:13-14). Friends, it is important for us to understand that not all miracles, signs and wonders come from God; and that the manifestation of signs and wonders is not always an indication of the presence of the Holy Spirit at a place of worship. In fact, in the final hours of this earth's history, Satan is going to employ miracles, signs and wonders to deceive many, even if possible the very elect (Matthew 24:24). This is the very reason why God is warning us against having to do anything with the dead. The Bible is clear they are demons and devils. Moreover friends, fallen angels or demons are the ones who appear to people as their dead friends and relatives, trying to convince the world through these appearances that the souls of the dead still live on. They also are working through their false prophets on earth. Meanwhile, the Bible makes it clear that the dead do not come up from their graves until the resurrection. Here are some clear statements of Scripture that support this position: “For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. 6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun" (Ecclesiastes 9:5-6). “The eye of him that hath seen me shall see me no more: thine eyes are upon me, and I am not. 9 As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more. 10 He shall return no more to his house, neither shall his place know him any more" (Job 7:8-10). “So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep" (Job 14:12). “Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation" (John 5:28-29). This is a calling to you encouraging you to return back to the word of God and follow it because it is the word of Jesus and without it we are nothing.
