WHEN PRAYER IS THE ONLY VOICE LEFT
There are places on earth where preaching is impossible. Where churches do not gather openly.
Where Bibles are hidden like forbidden treasure.
Where even whispering the name of Jesus can cost a life.
In such places, prayer becomes the final sanctuary.
In North Korea, many believers cannot sing aloud.
They cannot evangelize publicly.
They cannot post scriptures.
They cannot celebrate fellowship.
But heaven still hears them.
And heaven still hears us.
Scripture reminds us: “Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them.” — Hebrews 13:3
The persecuted Church survives today not by freedom, but by faith.
Not by visibility, but by endurance.
Not by protection, but by grace.
When earthly voices are silenced, intercession becomes their megaphone before God.
Every prayer offered outside North Korea becomes strength inside it. Every intercessor becomes a silent missionary.
Today, pause and reflect:
• Someone is worshipping in fear.
• Someone is memorizing scripture because owning one is dangerous.
• Someone is praying quietly so their children will not hear and unknowingly expose them.
Yet Christ walks among them.
The Church in North Korea is not defeated.
It is hidden, like seeds beneath winter soil.
And seeds always rise again.
REFLECTION PRAYER
Lord Jesus, teach us to remember those who suffer for Your Name. Let our comfort never make us forget their courage. Strengthen the unseen Church. Preserve their faith.
And make our prayers a covering over them today. Amen.
