My Testimony
Praise the Lord.
My name is Issak Chik, and I am from Assam, India. Before I was born, my family followed another religion and worshiped many gods. Despite their devotion and sacrifices, there was no true peace in our home. Sickness, fear, and struggles were common in our family life.
By God’s divine plan, a pastor came to our house and shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At first, my father strongly opposed Christianity, but through the preaching of the Word and the grace of God, my parents repented and accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. From that moment, everything began to change. Our family experienced peace, healing, and true joy. Today, my father serves as a village pastor, and my elder brother is an evangelist. God completely transformed our family.
Although I was raised in a Christian home, my personal relationship with Christ was not strong in my early years. As I grew older, I drifted away from God and became involved in unhealthy friendships and worldly habits. Even after baptism, I had not fully surrendered my life to Jesus.
Later, after marriage and trying different jobs and businesses, I experienced repeated failures and deep frustration. I felt empty and spiritually broken. During that difficult season, God used my father and brother to encourage me to seek Him seriously. Through prayer and the Word of God, I truly surrendered my life to Jesus Christ and accepted Him fully as my Lord and Savior.
I enrolled in Bible Seminary, and those years transformed my life. God restored my calling, gave me a burden for souls, and placed a clear vision in my heart to serve Him.
Today, by God’s grace, I serve as an evangelist, sharing the Gospel in rural areas and leading a small fellowship. My desire is to faithfully preach Christ, disciple believers, and bring hope to those who have not yet heard the Good News.
All glory belongs to God for His grace, mercy, and faithfulness in my life.
