THE CURSE OF THE "ALMOST": Breaking the Spirit of the Near-Miss
LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF THE PROPHETIC WATCHMAN!
I am speaking to someone today who is tired of being the "runner-up" in your own destiny. You have the "Almost-Success" syndrome. You get to the final interview, and they pick someone else. You get to the 99th day of the fast, and something breaks your focus. You get to the edge of the marriage, the edge of the contract, the edge of the healing—and then, like a cruel vapor, it vanishes.
The world calls it "bad luck." Your friends call it "a coincidence." But I am here to bring a divine indictment against a Satanic Pattern. Being "almost" there is often more dangerous than being nowhere, because it breeds a hope that makes the heart sick (Proverbs 13:12).
1. The Mystery of the Interrupted Race
The Holy Ghost asks a piercing question in Galatians 5:7:
> "Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?"

Notice the phrase: "Ye did run well." This wasn't a failure of the start; it was a sabotage of the finish.
* You had the momentum.
* You had the anointing.
* You had the strategy.
But then came the "Who." There is a "Hinderer" in the spirit realm whose specific assignment is not to stop you from starting, but to stop you from finishing. The enemy doesn't mind you running, as long as you never cross the ribbon. He wants you to spend your life in "potential" but never in "possession."
2. The Indictment: The Sin of the "Unfinished Altar"
Why do these patterns persist? Often, it is because we have the "zeal of the start" but lack the "intercessory stamina" for the finish.
The Confrontation: Many of you are "spiritual sprinters" in a marathon kingdom. You celebrate when the door opens, but you stop praying when you're halfway through the hallway. You let down your guard at the very moment the "Prince of the Persian" (Daniel 10:13) is mobilizing to block the delivery of your answer.
Look at Numbers 23:10. Balaam prayed a dangerous "Almost" prayer: "Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!" He wanted the end, but he wasn't willing to maintain the path. If you have a pattern of "almost," it’s time to check if you have a pattern of yielding to the "hinderer" at the point of breakthrough.
3. The Revelation: The Spirit of Pisgah
In the Bible, Moses went up to Mount Pisgah. God showed him the Promised Land, but he couldn't enter it (Deuteronomy 34:1-4).
While Moses’ situation was a divine judgment, many of you are under a Pisgah Curse—you can see the miracle, you can smell the harvest, you can even touch the borders of the testimony, but a spiritual "invisible wall" prevents you from occupying it.
This is a legal blockade! It is a "checkmate" move by the enemy to ensure that your "running well" ends in "failing well."
THE PATERN AUDIT: ARE YOU A VICTIM OF "ALMOST"?
* The Financial Almost: You get the money, but an emergency "swallows" it before you can invest.
* The Marital Almost: The introduction is done, but the wedding never happens.
* The Spiritual Almost: You feel the fire of revival, but you never birth a ministry.
CALL TO ACTION: RECLAIM YOUR FINISH LINE
The Spirit of God says: "No more Near-Misses!" We are moving from "Running Well" to "Finishing Well."
* Identify the "Who": Ask the Holy Spirit: "Who or what is hindering me?" Is it a bloodline curse? Is it a character flaw? Is it a specific demonic sentinel?
* Break the Legal Contract: Use the Blood of Jesus to cancel every decree of "Halfway Testimony." Declare: "I shall not only see it; I shall possess it!"
* Enforce the Finish: Read Philippians 1:6. He who began a good work is faithful to perform it. If God didn't finish it, it wasn't God. If it's not finished, don't stop praying!
