In like a lion, out like a lamb. That is the old wife’s tale saying for the entrance of Spring. For those who may not understand that saying, it is simply stating that if we start spring off with the roaring of storms, then the end of Spring will be peaceful and calm. This morning, we are starting the day off with a massive thunderstorm. The fields should be very saturated and ready for seeds.
I am not sure where saying came from, but as I sit here listening to the rain drops heavily outside my window, I thought … isn’t the reverse true of Jesus?
He came in as the Lamb. Calm. Peaceful. Caring. Healing. Gentle touch. Approachable. A teacher. Then he was crucified. When He returns, the Lion will roar. The judgment will come. Though He will still have all those qualities, that is not the appearance He will be making. He is coming to take back what is His.

Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. –Revelation 5:7-8
