# PROPHETIC ALERT: THE POISON IN THE PULPIT — EXPOSING COUNTERFEIT GRACE
** A TRUMPET BLAST TO THE REMNANT
I write this with a fire shut up in my bones and a holy trembling before the Lord of Hosts. I am not here to be your friend; I am here to be a watchman on the wall. The blood is not on my hands tonight!
There is a DOCTRINE OF DEMONS that has crept into the modern church, slithering through our worship songs, our podcasts, and our pulpits. It is a seductive, sweet-tasting poison that is sending millions to hell with a smile on their face and a Bible in their hand.
**It is called COUNTERFEIT GRACE.**
We have traded the rugged, blood-stained Cross for a plush pillow. We have exchanged the transforming power of the Holy Ghost for a "get out of jail free" card.
Hear the Word of the Lord: **Grace that does not change you is not Grace—it is a Lullaby from Hell.**
### 1. THE DIAGNOSIS: WHAT IS COUNTERFEIT GRACE?
Jude, the brother of Jesus, saw this coming 2,000 years ago. He warned of men who *"crept in unawares... ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness"* (**Jude 1:4**).
**Counterfeit Grace says:** "God knows my heart, so my behavior doesn't matter."
**Counterfeit Grace says:** "I am under grace, so repentance is a one-time event, not a daily lifestyle."
**Counterfeit Grace says:** "Jesus is my Savior," but refuses to bow to Him as LORD.
This is a LIE. It is what Dietrich Bonhoeffer called **"CHEAP GRACE."** It is forgiveness without repentance. It is baptism without church discipline. It is Communion without confession. It is grace without the Cross.
### 2. THE BIBLICAL REALITY: GRACE IS POWER, NOT A PERMIT
Let me take you to the text that the hyper-grace preachers skip over.
**TITUS 2:11-12**
*"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, **Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world**..."*
Did you read that? **TRUE GRACE IS A TEACHER.**
And what does it teach? It doesn't teach you how to get away with sin; it teaches you how to **DENY** it!
* **Counterfeit Grace** covers sin so you can keep doing it.
* **True Grace** empowers you to overcome sin so you can stop doing it.
If your "grace" allows you to sleep with your boyfriend/girlfriend, watch pornography, gossip, slander, hold grudges, and live like the world from Monday to Saturday without conviction—**YOU HAVE NOT MET THE JESUS OF THE BIBLE.** You have met an idol made in your own image!
### 3. THE DANGER: TRAMPLING THE SON OF GOD
I am terrified for the modern believer. We treat the blood of Jesus like common tap water.
**HEBREWS 10:26, 29**
*"For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins... Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?"*
When you claim grace as an excuse to stay in bondage, you are **INSULTING** the Spirit of Grace. You are telling Jesus that His blood was strong enough to forgive you, but too weak to deliver you. **BLASPHEMY!**
Salvation is not just a change of destination (Heaven vs. Hell); it is a change of **NATURE** (Sinner vs. Saint).
*"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."* (**2 Corinthians 5:17**)
If the "old things" haven't passed away, you need to check if you've ever truly met the Christ!
### 4. THE PROPHETIC REBUKE: A CALL TO HOLINESS
God is raising up a new breed of revivalists who are not afraid of the word **HOLINESS.**
*"Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy."* (**1 Peter 1:16**)
The world doesn't need a "cool" church. The world doesn't need a "relevant" church that looks exactly like the club but with better lighting. The world needs a **HOLY** church!
They need to see a people who have been so radically washed by the blood that they no longer talk like the world, dress like the world, or think like the world.
* **Stop** flirting with Delilah and wondering why you have no strength!
* **Stop** eating at the table of demons and the table of the Lord!
* **Stop** calling it a "struggle" when it's actually **REBELLION**!
### 5. THE SCARIEST VERSE IN THE BIBLE

*"Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven... Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? ... And then will I profess unto them, **I NEVER KNEW YOU**: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."* (**Matthew 7:21-23**)
He didn't say "You didn't pray enough." He said, "You worked INIQUITY." You lived in lawlessness. You used My name, but you didn't have My nature.

3. **RETURN:** Come back to the Cross. Not the Americanized cross, but the Biblical Cross where you die to self so Christ can live.
