Today has been a beautiful day. My apologies for not writing this morning. My AM was full of other endeavors. Not to mention, it was nearly 8 am before I woke up. Now, thinking about it, it was probably 7 because of daylight savings, but still, when you roll over and see that it is 8…your whole day changes. Add to that my grandson coming to hang out. We played video games. He let me write a little on my story. We made brownies. We went to town for lunch for the boys working in the shop. We went for a walk and hung out in the She Shed. Came back to the house and played with Legos. We played “Would You Rather”. A day of quality bonding and talking.
It was definitely a complete day. The internet is still out, and my hotspot only kind of works. So there was a lot of old-fashioned bonding. I love it when we have days like this. He told me that I should put a bed in the She Shed so I can sleep out there, but I need to put up curtains so people can’t watch me sleep through the windows.
I did not get to His house today. Not his brick-and-mortar house anyway. I did find my way to His nature house, and boy was he talking to us. The wind was strong yet calming. The birds were out in complete playful nature. A squirrel tried to sneak up on us when we walked to the creek. The creek was moving swiftly. Nature was in full swing for the introduction of Spring.
In the abstract of the day, and my moments to work on my book, I actually deleted seven chapters and revised the first eight. I have been struggling with the direction of the book and finally sat down to read it as if I had picked it up off the shelf. When I finished chapter eight and went into chapter nine, I realized that I would sit it down and not try again because of the hard left turn it took. However, in the revision of the beginning, the middle is now working out swimmingly, and I was able to get 3400 words done. The story is now more realistic, and I found a great cover for the novel. I am sure this is going to be well over the required word count. The story is so deep and real.
Today, I realized that my grandson was what I needed to make my day great. God provided me a suitable playmate and companion. Today was a complete blessing.
In your endeavors today, how many times did you encounter His presence? How many times did you step out of your shadow and into His light? How many times did you allow yourself to feel His breath? How much time did you allow yourself to be free in Him?
Today was a blessing for sure. He was everywhere and talking like we needed to catch up, but had just seen each other. Today was His day. Did you get to see Him?
