Mark 11:25 - And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”
I guess the Lord is really pushing me in reflection of forgiveness. I am sure you are all familiar with recent events in the Olympics. The despicable opening ceremony and now these reports of "trans women" in boxing. It has really angered me.
But, as angry as I am, it seems the Lord WANTS me to forgive them. It is a big struggle for me. I am working on it. Do I condone what happened? NO. And I pray these people recognize the evil for what it is and turn, repent, and accept Jesus. But, forgiving?
Yes, we must forgive them. Though it is hard. I am working on forgiving them.
This is why we must forgive them.
Matthew 6:14-15 - For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
I must strive to let the Love of Christ for them become my love. For in love we can forgive. Though as one would do with a child who has done wrong, you can LOVE that child and still let them know what they did wrong. You can still forgive that child for hurting you and still deal with the problem. At least that is my perspective.
I am interested in your thoughts.
God Bless.
